Pioneer Cemetery

Flowery Hill, Virginia City, NV

Southeast of Virginia City, on Flowery Hill, lies Pioneer Cemetery. The hillside is dotted with many crosses whose inscriptions have faded with time, only the wind knows the names of long forgotten Comstock miners and their families resting here.

This is also said to be the resting place of Julia Bulette, the famous murdered prostitute of the 1860's who is the subject of many stories and folklore.
